This morning, in a very small town, friends and neighbors gathered together to sing, pray, share the word of God, and eat some really good food. That’s what we from little towns and villages in this great big world call living.
It seems these days that society has a great difficulty with being satiated; yet, this morning, several good ladies and gentlemen got together and, in fellowship of body, mind, and soul, worked in unison to feed those gathering not only food for the body with a delicious, mindfully cooked meal and beautiful pies for dessert, but also food for the soul with music, prayers of peace and unity, and the spoken word of God.
Food for the body, food for the soul. Comfort food.
On behalf of all of those who attended, we thank the members of the Eastern Pike County Ministerial Association, the musicians, those who prepared the meal. Your friends and neighbors thank you.
